Media tools
ClientThis page is an index—open a card for the dedicated route. Raster work, QR and barcode generation, and the color hub (with subtools) all stay client-side. If you are deciding between image conversion, compression, color extraction, contrast, and scannable codes, use the image and color workflow guide.
How this hub is organized
Image convert/resize, QR and barcode generation, and GTIN checksum validation each have a dedicated route—color utilities live under the Color hub instead of this index.

Cards follow the home catalog order for this category. Sub-routes (for example under /tools/color/…) each have their own page.
Image convert
ClientConvert, enhance (tone & sharpen), resize, read EXIF & export clean—WebP, JPEG, PNG in browser. Pair with Image resize and QR or barcode in Media.
Image resize
ClientMax width or height, keep aspect ratio, export WebP/JPEG/PNG—local only.
Image ↔ Base64
ClientEncode PNG/JPEG/GIF/WebP to Base64 or preview pasted Base64—local encode/decode without upload.
Image DPI calculator
ClientPixels ↔ print size (inches/cm) at a chosen DPI—plan exports without uploading images.
Image crop
ClientCrop a region by pixel coordinates and export PNG, JPEG, or WebP—local canvas only.
Image rotate & flip
ClientRotate 90°/180°/270° or flip images on canvas and export PNG, JPEG, or WebP—local only.
Favicon generator
ClientSquare-crop a logo and download PNG favicon sizes (16–512 px) including Apple touch—browser only.
Favicon size
ClientStandard favicon pixel sizes, dimension check on your image, and export one square PNG—browser only.
Image text watermark
ClientOverlay semi-transparent text on PNG or JPEG with canvas—position, opacity, and size—local only.
Image color palette
ClientExtract dominant hex colors from an uploaded image—canvas sampling in the browser; not a harmony generator.
QR code generator
ClientWi‑Fi & vCard builders, templates—custom colors, optional logo, PNG/SVG—local only.
QR code decoder
ClientUpload an image to read QR payload text or URLs—local jsQR decode; not a live camera scanner.
Barcode generator
ClientLinear barcodes—CODE128, EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF, PNG/SVG—local only.
GTIN checksum (EAN / UPC)
ClientPaste GTIN‑8, UPC‑A (GTIN‑12), EAN‑13, or logistic GTIN‑14 digits—ISO GS1 modulus‑10 parity without GS1 lookup—browser-only.
SSCC checksum
Client18-digit Serial Shipping Container Code—GS1 modulus‑10 check digit; optional (00) prefix stripped; no registry lookup; browser-only.
Nearby workflows on Toolcore
- Image convert — for format, resize, and metadata review in one workspace.
- QR code generator — when you need a matrix code instead of a linear barcode.
- GTIN check — for retail trade-item checksums beside media assets.
- Compress images — when smaller JPEG/WebP files matter more than format changes.
Common use cases
- Start from Image convert when you need format change, light enhancement, or EXIF cleanup in the browser.
- Use Image resize when you only need max width/height with aspect ratio preserved.
- Open QR or Barcode when the output must be scannable—keep URLs and payloads short for dense modules.
- Use Color tools when you need converters, palettes, contrast checks, or theme-style token ramps.
Common mistakes to avoid
Expecting print CMYK fidelity in the browser
These tools target screen sRGB workflows; critical print work still needs a desktop pipeline.
Pasting a multi-megabyte file into a text-only or preview step
Image routes expect image inputs; for huge binaries or whole-disk checksums, use the file-based checksum and hash page instead of forcing data through a textarea.
Forgetting that QR and barcode are layout-sensitive
Quiet zones, contrast, and module size still matter in the browser. Export PNG or SVG and test with a real scanner if production depends on the code.
FAQ
Where is the full image workspace?
Image convert lives at /tools/image-convert; dedicated resize is at /tools/image-resize.
Are uploads sent to a server?
No. Media tools on Toolcore run in your browser unless a specific page documents otherwise.
Should I use Image convert or the standalone resize page?
Use convert when you also need format change, enhancement, or EXIF control. Open resize when you only need max width/height with aspect kept—faster mental model, fewer options.
When do I go to the Color hub instead of staying under Media?
The Media index lists the color card for discovery; the Color hub and its sub-routes (converter, contrast, themes) are the right place for palette and accessibility work beyond a single image tweak.
