Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 25, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Toolcore ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and browser-based tools. We aim to be transparent about advertising technologies (including Google AdSense), Vercel Web Analytics where applicable, and how our utilities run on your device.

Summary

  • Core tool processing (for example, image conversion, JSON formatting, encoding, QR generation) is designed to run in your browser. We do not intend to receive the files or text you process as part of those tools.
  • When the site is served from Vercel, we use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic and page-view insights. See that section for scope and Vercel's documentation.
  • We may use cookies and similar technologies, including for advertising and measurement. Third parties such as Google may also use cookies when they serve ads on our site.
  • You can control certain ad personalization settings through your browser and industry opt-out tools (see Your choices).

Scope

This policy applies to visitors and users of the Toolcore website and any pages or features we operate under the same brand, unless a separate notice says otherwise.

Browser tools and your content

Our utilities are built to perform conversion, formatting, encoding, and similar operations locally in your browser whenever possible. In normal use, the content you paste or upload into those tools is not sent to our servers for processing.

You remain responsible for any sensitive information you choose to enter into the tools. Do not submit personal data you are not comfortable handling on your own device.

Information we may collect or observe

Like most websites, when you access our pages your browser automatically sends technical information that hosting providers, content delivery networks, or we may log in the ordinary course of operating the service. This can include, for example, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, device type, referring URLs, and timestamps.

We may also use analytics, performance, or error-reporting tools that collect usage or diagnostic data in aggregated or pseudonymous form, depending on how those products are configured. Where we host on Vercel, this includes Vercel Web Analytics, as described in the following section.

Vercel Web Analytics

When this site is deployed on Vercel, we enable Vercel Web Analytics to collect usage information such as page views and related technical signals (for example, coarse device or browser characteristics) so we can understand traffic in aggregate. Vercel processes this data as our infrastructure and analytics vendor.

This analytics layer is separate from our browser-based tools: it does not receive the files, images, or free-form text you process in those utilities.

For how Vercel Web Analytics handles data and privacy, see Vercel Web Analytics and privacy in Vercel's documentation.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners may store or read cookies, pixels, local storage, or similar technologies on your device. These technologies help the site function, remember preferences, measure traffic, prevent fraud, and deliver and personalize advertising (including based on your past visits to our site or other sites).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features or ad relevance.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We may use Google AdSense or other Google advertising products to show ads on our website. Google and its partners may use cookies and other data to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or to other websites, and to measure ad effectiveness.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

For more on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google's Privacy Policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or asset sale.
