ICCID IoT provisioning check
ClientICCID IoT provisioning check helps teams shipping thousands of M2M profiles validate serial columns before connectivity management platforms ingest CSVs. Luhn runs locally—no carrier CMP query.
Factory and field provisioning
Validate serials at receiving, before module install, and again before CMP upload—three checkpoints reduce rework.
?
The ITU‑T E.118 layout follows ISO/IEC 7812 for card identifiers: a Major Industry Identifier (telecom ICCIDs usually start with 89), an issuer/country/account block, then a trailing Luhn mod‑10 check digit using the same doubling rule as many payment PAN validators. Printed cards commonly show 18–22 digits; issuers pin one length profile per range.
Result
Passes Luhn mod 10 on the full 19-digit string.
- MII (first 2):
89 - Issuer / account core (between MII and check):
3530012345678901 - Check digit (last):
1
Common use cases
- Audit IoT shipment files before factory install.
- Validate sensor SIM lists paired with device IMEI spreadsheets.
- Catch scientific-notation corruption from Excel exports.
Common mistakes to avoid
Provisioning ICCID without checking length profile
IoT ranges may use 19 or 20 digits—paste to confirm bounds.
Treating Luhn pass as APN correctness
Connectivity still needs correct APN and platform assignment.
Mixing ICCID with ICCID-less eUICC test profiles
Confirm field labels on lab versus production CSVs.
FAQ
Are IoT ICCIDs different?
Same Luhn family—volume and CSV hygiene differ.
Does this activate IoT SIMs?
No—format validation only.
Can I check modem sticker ICCIDs?
Yes—paste digits from module label or platform export.
